in which there was two socks

color is most accurate in this photo
Project finished! I'm so glad to have completed my Christmas socks for Grandpa! They were a long time coming, and for some reason the first one I completed became very stretched at the ribbing along the ankle of the sock. I wonder if it's because I finished it over two months before the first sock, or because I kept it in my bag toting it around for a month while I completed the second one. I used the Fit Well Socks pattern by Amanda Morgan, and enjoyed it very much. The pattern was interesting enough for a beginner sock maker, but manly and worked very well with my slightly verigated Malabrigo Sock yarn in Color Persia.
I have plenty of sock yarn left over, and am looking forward to making some Hexipuffs from The Beekeeper's Quilt pattern by Tiny Owl Knits. This pattern concept is so charming, hundreds of mini projects put together to make a large quilt! I also love that it can be made with sock or fingering yarn left overs. The best part is that the quilt is made up of many different yarns that encompass other treasured projects! I will be able to look back at the small puffs and think of all the other projects I have made for loved ones over the year. I'm sure the quilt will take a long time, but like all nice things, it is worth the wait.
